This website was made to showcase my art and give those who are willing, a way to support me. There is never a time when I am not seeking to improve. Thank you to those that continue to assist me through this journey. I owe it all to you.

My Life Thus Far

I grew up in the small town of Waterloo, WI. My family was the lower part of the middle class but my parents always worked very hard to give my brother and I what we needed. I was in all kinds of sports growing up but nothing gave me the same satisfaction that the arts gave me. It was truly art of any kind, I was willing to learn because it made me happy and it was my safe space. I’ve done everything I can think of: Choir, band, photography, Visual Arts Classics, etc. What made it even better is that it was a way to connect with my friends. I could not tell you why but photography was always my favorite.

After high school, I went to a year of college but I needed a change. I was just going to work for a year and then get back to it but my family had other plans. They hounded me to join the military so in an effort to try something new, get out of my comfort zone, and finally feel like I had made my family proud, I joined the Air Force. It has been a very long and trying three years for me. This was the last thing I ever wanted as a career and I should have listened to myself. I will not say that it was not worth it though because now I have benefits, free college and ride or die people in my life that I am thankful to have met. At this point, I have one year left in my four year contract and I am making moves to start my next life’s journey.

I watched a webinar a little while ago, I couldn’t tell you who it was or what it was about, but I learned something very valuable that day. You can work very hard and be the most successful in doing a job that someone else wanted you to do and no matter how far you get, you will never be satisfied. I feel like I can relate a lot to that. It doesn’t matter how many good and redeemable things I do in the Air Force, I will never be happy or feel satisfied because it isn’t what I want with my life. I have plans, hopes and dreams and now is the time to start making them happen. Thank you for reading.

My Work

My main medium consists of digital photography. I am slowly making my way into film photography and I have also done pencil drawings, which I would love to get back into. After that, at some point I plan to try painting. I hope you’ll come on this artistic learning journey with me.
